Over the last year we have been working with EIZO, a screen based technology company. EIZO are widely recognized as the industry standard for high-end colour critical monitors so we developed a brand awareness strategy to further engage and grow their consumer base within creative industries. One of the strands of engagement was to conceive and curate a student awards scheme. The award structure was designed around three categories, Photography, Film & Moving Image and Visual Communication. We created 3 briefs that were all connected to colour but tackled them in very different and challenging ways click here to download the briefs, then we selected a panel of 3 judges; highly respected industry professionals to select the winner of their subject and award a placement in their studio as the prize as well as an EIZO monitor. For photography we worked with Rankin, for Film & Moving image SomeSuch, and for Visual Communication Studio Dumbar.

  • Rankin - Photography Judge
  • Liza Enebeis - Visual Communication Judge

We received an overwhelming response, the competition drew in responses from 25 universities across the UK with strong entries in particular within photography. Subsequently we now have plan’s with EIZO to run the competition on an annual basis so any students or lecturers reading this post who are interested in participating for 2017/18 please register your interest at: EIZOAward@peterandpaul.co.uk and we will update you when the competition is live.
