Since graduating in 2013, it’s been a rough, frustrating and eye opening experience. Not only did university not teach me about the realities of industry, they also forgot to mention that working within some studio cultures your opinion of what creativity and artistic expression is will be challenged on a day-to-day basis. Being able to navigate through that would have been really useful. But I’ll cover that in another article.
This journal post is related to an on-going self-initiated project, that’s inspired from my own naivety and sometimes-arbitrary approach to making visuals. The point of the project is for me to freely experiment, create and deconstruct without any conviction whatsoever. The only rule set to the project is just to make visuals, because visuals can help form ideas.
